I just read a thread - some kid was asking about reencoding ac3 stream - and this came to my mind...

I have had my share of troubles with the ripping process, I am sure just like everybody else. Well, isn't this the whole point of this forum, to help each other figure out how to do stuff?

They closed this guys forum, and thank god they gave him a solution first; I do not know how good. But here it comes... This is my problem with repeating threads and admins closing them - hypothetically speaking (even though it happened to me) someone has a problem, no solution, errors and it just keeps hanging over their head! Right!? Anyhow, you post a thread and, politely, everybody just completely ignores it! What are you supposed to do!? Time goes by, you can't find answeres, GOOGLE CAN'T HELP EITHER! What is next let me ask you! How do you get people to see your problem and answer it! ........ By making sure your theread is NEW!

The point I am making is solely based on my rage, caused by the slow feedback and help that I've gotten, the wasted time, wasted DVD-R's and so on and so forth... Has anybody noticed how small the subtitles section of this forum is comparing to the rest of the posts????? Few help, few care, even the people who wrote subtitle programs do not seem to visit the section....

Anyhow, please don't think that I am dissing the forum... - NO WAY - this is the greatest source for help I have ever seen.... STILL, I think some improvement is due... Don't shut us up, because believe me, two threads unanswered are better than one...

Anyhow, hope that there are some people out there who do agree with me and hope that I am not the sole voice of this community that I am proud to be a part of!!!

(By the way, when the guide on CCE came out, I've found out that all my sync problems with subtitles were because of the DROP FRAME selection in Scenarist - If ONLY SOMEONE WOULD MENTION IT BEFORE!!! I must've posted three or more threads about it... NO QUALITY RESPONSE, IF ANY!!)

You don't even have read the answers it seems.

Wrong forum!
We have some rules to keep things going smoothly here.

Just because YOUR problem wasn't solved in a time range that you think is appropiate doesn't mean we don't help anybody here.

Well, I guess that some people simply will never accept that helping for free doesn't mean that anyone has the duty to help!

And if you're REALLY concerned - the last post in the thread you mentioned is a friendly question to visit the right forum.

Would you mind rereading the fourm rules? You clearly violated them with this post, and if you don't understand the reason why that thread is closed you didn't even read the rules.

Looks to me like very selective reading...

*scratching head*

Well, another thread to close.
