I was wondering..

I have a lot of videoclips in .mpg format ( all the goals from the world cup ). Is it possible to create a cd that could be played in a standalone dvd player with these files on? In some other format maybe but with some menu system where I could chose which match I want to see the goals from and so on? Some sort of svcd maybe?

I havent really done anything like this before, so I apologise if this is a stupid question :) And sorry for my bad english as well. :)

thanks

If your MPG files are VCD or SVCD compliant, Nero will accept them automatically.
If not, you've got to reencode them so that they become VCD or SVCD compliant and so your DVD player can eat them :D
Before burning in Nero, you have the chance to build a menu, where you can make as many selections as many files you have to burn, with background picture and thumbnails and all, pretty cool the whole thing ;)

Many standalone players cannot play VCD or SVCD. Some also have trouble with CD-R, CD-RW, or both.

www.vcdhelp.com has a database of standalone players by make and model, listing what types of discs, and what types of formats each supports.
