I'm burning the time machine using smartripper and ifoedit and it worked fine playing for the harddrive and I burned it and the movie plays fine on the computer. Whenever I play it in our dvd players chapter 1-9 work fine but all of the chapters after that restart after the chapter are over and they show up as chapter 0. The only way to access the chapters after 9 is to manually punch it in for each chapter. I was wondering what the problem could be and I got vts sectors but I didn't correct vob unit pointers in menu extras or vob extras.

thanx

int_53185, It was really close when I backed it up it was exactly 4.30 gigs. I got the size down by using smartripper and getting rid of streams that I didn't need. I use instand cd+dvd and it fit fine.

Had same problem with Time Machine after chapter 9.

I think I worked it out. The solution lies with IFOUpdate.

1. DVDDecrpter all files to HD: eg:\extract
2. IFOEdit strip streams (leave VOBids off since there are 132 VOBIDs pain to find which ones to strip).
Output Stream (left DTS,DVD5.1 took out Subtitle) to HD: eg:\menudvd
3. Copied original IFO's & BUP's from \extract to menudvd\originalifo
4. Copied VIDEO*, VTS_01_0.VOB, VTS_10_*.VOB, VTS_11_*.VOB, VTS_12_*.VOB \menudvd
5. Ran IFOUpdate: authored path-> \menudvd.....orignal path->menudvd\orignalifo
6. Copied 1,10,12-.IFO and 1,10,12-.BUP from menudvd\originalifo\ to \menudvd
7. Running REMPEG2 right now..to see smaller version......76% setting.

Hope this helps....

Ok... I could not burn "Time Machine" using RecordNow Max 4.0. It says "VIDEO_TS or AUDIO_TS bad format error".

I tried to burn it bypassing the check DVD Specification, but the output plays it 4:3 for a while on PC-DVDDrive and I cant select anything on the menu.

IFOEdit has no problems in playing (preview VTS_O1_0.IFO on hardisk and clicked on dvd play). Also the menu plays fine...everything is in 16:9. The chapter points all work on the hardisk version.

Like others I kept only the DD5.1 and the DTS audio channel. Removed Subtitles, and did not strip any of the VOBids.

Following is the structure.

<DIR> .
<DIR> ..
VIDEO_TS.BUP 26,624
