View Full Version : Divx5 parameters that Gknot use??

Well, I need to restart my encodes recently when my computer crashed due to power failure/bad sectors. I was looking for some way that would save me re-doing "2nd pass, first pass". This means I'm going to use the valid .log file. I found some of Doom9's guide.

My problem now is what parameters to use as there are lots of Divx5 parameters in the config window in virtualdub but you can only select a few within gknot.

I had a look at the jobs file that vdub uses and I found this line:
VirtualDub.video.SetCompData(338,"GAEAAJAc.......

Is this the parameters that gknot uses?

thanks for the reply.

Yeah that line control the codec data if the first pass went ok then just load virtualdub goto the job control window and tell it to run the second pass again.

If DaveEL's suggestion doesn't work you can always run just the second pass through Gordian Knot. At the encoder tab you can choose "Both passes", "First pass" and "Second pass" (or something like that). It defaults to "Both passes", but you can choose "Second pass" instead, just be sure you locate the log file (it's quite obvious on the screen IIRC).
