Just a curious question, has anyone had any problems with any Disney titles like A Bug's Life, Antz or any other Disney title?

Yes, when you have ripped the film you need to go into the VIDEO_TS.IFO filewith Ifoedit and go into the VMGI_MAT table. Click on +FIRST PLAY and scroll down to the first play pgc. right click on this and and change the command to Jump to wherever the main menu is. That way you can cut out all of those annoying trailers etc which jump all over the disc. Failing that use IFOEDIT to create brand new VIDEO_TS.*** files. No menu - just into the film.

I opened up the original VIDEO_TS.ifo file but there is no VMGI_MAT table, only a VMGM_MAT table. Under it is First Play PGC. But in IFOEdit, you can't right click on it (it does nothing). Can you explain it a little clearer?

Sorry hoops10, I did the original reply from work & so from memory - I'm at home now so here goes;)
You are right - The table is VMGM_MAT click on this and you will get a sub table +First Play.
Click on this and move the mouse pointer into the lower half of the page.
Scroll down to the bottom and near the end of the table you will see 1.Pre command.
Put the mouse pointer over this and right click it - you will now get prompt to change command.
Select this with left click and IfoEdit will now give you a choice of different commands.
If the film menu is in Titleset 1 - Title 1 then change it to JumpSS VTS title-set 1, title 1, root menu.
If you want the film to start imediatly change the jump command to Jump TT and let it jump to the film title (i.e. Title 1)
Save in Ifoedit and hey presto. As I said in the first reply, untill you get used to messing about with these tables it is worth making a copy of the relevant IFO file just in case it all goes horribly wrong:devil:
Its worth having a mess about because you can do a lot with these tables - changeing start points, chapter references etc. I hope this helps.
Happy Ripping

I will try your suggestions and see if it works. BTW, did you check out my post about replacing the newly authored vobs back into the original dvd structure?

Also, is it possible to turn off button assignments in IFOEdit? For example, if I want the 'Behind the Scenes" button in one of the menus NOT to work (if someone clicks on it, it does nothing). Is it possible to do this in IFOEdit? Thanks.

I have not tried to remove links - but I am sure that it can be done in ifoedit by selecting the link in VMG_Overview and clicking on delete playback - I seem to remember it from a threat I saw a while back.
I could stand corrected so has anyone else actually done this?

I have read your link and have sent you an Email on it.
