Small dvd file question

Hi,

I'm trying to make a divx from a small dvd file (a videoclip an a REM dvd)
When using the divx4 guide with Gordian Knot I noticed that in the '0.20 bits/pixel*frame' part I never get decent values with small clips Also the percentage that is mentioned there shows a red value.

Whys is that always the case with small files and how can I get the correct values in there?

You probably need to manually specify the bitrate or desired filesize on the bitrate tab. Gnot is probably thinking that you want to create a single 700mb file out of a 5 minute video clip. If you do a compression check without changing this, you will get some outrageous results. You can type directly into these fields.
