I was trying to make 1 svcd out of side1 of the dvd Goodfellas. It is a doublesided dvd with about 72 minutes on each side. I allowed up to 76 minutes on 80min cd in the bitrate tab. Not sure where it went wrong cause I clicked "Go" last night and went to sleep. Woke up and saw the cue/bin and burned it only to see the movie cut off about 2 minutes before the end of cd1. Checked the bbMPEG_Muxed_File00.mpg in WinDVD and it cut off the same place.

My question is any ideas what could have gone wrong?
sorry but I dont have the log any more as i was trying to rip the last chapter and join the 2 files to get a complete cd but it kept coming out too large a file for vcdimager and nero and overwriting the log file to dvd2svcd

should i allow 80 mintues on the bitrate tab or what are some suggestions?

THANKS in advance

the second time i tried it, last night, it got a couple seconds
further than the night before, so i dont think there is some scratch or something at that part of the movie. Also i have successfully made and svcd of the last chapter by itself so the cd is ok. For some reason it isnt making the complete cd, any settings i should change? maybe in the bitrate tab or encoding tab?

thanks

So try in the encoder tab to change to "Use Fixed CQ Value" and set the fixed CQ Value to for instance 83 or maybe even 82 (or further down if it still cuts of something from the end).
