dvd ripping with win 98s/e

someone has told me that you can't copy dvd to dvd-r with win 98,
is this correct?

Well, u cannot do a 1:1 DVD copy to dvdr with win 98 because you only have FAT 32.

You need ntfs FAT for larger files.
Get Win 2K.

any other tips would be helpful, as i am new to this. done a bit of cdr burning though, thought i would try my hand at dvd-r.
