If this has been answered someone please point me to where. I searched with "green" and "green bar" but found mostly problems with SVCD green bar on the right side of the screen.

My problem only occurs ocassionally and rarely with the main movie, but with the "extras"...deleted sceens, interviews etc. The problem is that when I play my burned DVD on my set top box (Toshiba SD-2700) some of the extras are solid green on about 50% of the bottom and the remaining picture is fuzzy and distorted.

I rip with Smartripper. Default settings, file tab all files.
DVD2AVI. (I feel like this is where the problem occurs, but I have varied almost all the settings with the same result). My normal settings are:
Video: iDCT Algorithm @ 32 bit SSE-MMX
Field operation -Force film if >98% film otherwise None
Color Space - YUV 4:2:2
YUV->RGB - TV Scale (This is where I thought the problem was, I thought it somehow defaulted to PC scale, but I have tried both settings with the same green result)

I encode with TMPGE 2.56.39.143 using the wizard and default settings (If interlaced, I let the wizard pick which field first)

I author using SpruceUp

I will sometimes let SpruceUp do the burning and sometimes save to file and burn with Nero as DVD-ROM (UDF/ISO)

PC uses WinXP and Pioneer RW DVR-103

Any suggestions/help greatly appreciated!
