Gerti67 maybe you can help too, I have a similar problem as fraamer, well, maybe little different.I formated my hd and after I install all nessesary programs to run my pc and dvd2svcd I was just about to rip a movie. IN dvd2svcd I activate DVD ripping, USe vStrip as I did 100 of times and nothing. vStrip did not rip the movie, soon as vStrip executed dvd2svcd get frozen and I have to press CTRL+ALT+DELETE.
Now, I reinstall dvd2svcd and vStrip, no luck, same problem.
But after that, I use vStrip to rip the movie(without dvd2svcd) , I also try DVD Decrypter and they work perfectly.
DO you know where the problems lies?

Hi switu,
What does DVDDecrypter tell you about the installed APSI Layer in it's log window? Are they properly installed?
If not, try to install the ForceASPI drivers like described in the other thread you mentioned. Some DVDs can even not be authenticated properly by DVD2SVCD with them properly installed, so you have to start a software player like PowerDVD or WinDVD and play the DVD with them and even better skip through the chapters till the end. So the DVD gets unlocked (authenticated) and DVD2SVCD can rip it properly then.
Also vStrip has no built-in authentication only DVDDecrypter has. So it might have been that you first tried DVDDecrypter and so the DVD got unlocked and then vStrip could rip it also. Or you did play the DVD with a software player in the meantime.
Hope this helps,
Gerti

Hi Gerti67
First of all, thank you for taking the time to reply.
Dvddecrypter reads ASPI ok, and what I find out that vStrip has no problem at all ripping dvd when not using dvd2svcd, also I find out,
why vStrip w/dvd2svcd doesn't want to rip the dvd.
I opened vStrip log and I sow my dvd is completley out of synch,
that why vStrip wasn't forcing the dvd to be ripped.
I had 6 more dvd's(same movie it's a series)and all them were no problem to rip accept this one.
thank you Gerti67, sorry to bother you.
Cheers

Hi switu,
don't feel sorry to bother me - why should I be bothered?
Have you tried the internal routines on those DVDs? Do they fail also?
Just a suggestion,
Gerti

cheers
