hi, im stuck on that one

i ripped some dvds meanwhile, but that one got me

ripped with smartripper on hd
vobs play fine WITH sound in windvd

i made my *.d2v projekt using dvd2avi

video encoding all fine

now, audio *.wav

dvd2avi makes me an *wav file wich is too short, well, not really

in media player it shows me about half the time (44min instead of 1.30h)

when i listen into the wave file its like double speed

so i think dvd2avi got all the audio but make it cpl. too fast, so my
audio track is then "too short"

so i tryed some diff settings in dvd2avi but always comes out the same

then i tryed vob2audio there nothing happens at all
(cant hit the audio stream button)

may any ideas ?

thx ahead

Have you tried using smartripper to create your audio file? Smartripper has the option to rip only the audio track. See if that gives u the full track.

maybe thats because its a mono track. i have had the same problem some time ago with a mpeg-2 file with mono sound track. most programs cannot convert such a file and produce a double speed output.
in the end i used vidomi to convert the file

i tryed vidomi now too

made an divx with the audio

same result

pic running normal speed

audio "2x"

i made an 2 min test, the audio runs for about 1 min,
the video is normal

i think i stay now with an 1:1 backup (dvd is only 3.8 gigs)

thx anyway

finally solved

edited the audio with cool edit

from 48khz to ~24khz

then saved liek that so it played fine

then resampled to 48khz with tmpeg and all is fine

:D
