Here is a strange one. i have backed up about 4 of my dvds to my hard drive. I use dvd2avi on the vob files to demux the ac3 stream. but for some reason every time i do it i don't get delay value in the ac3 stream file name for interleaving later on. what gives?? is there some filter that i am missing or backing up the vob files wrong? i have tried vstrip with dvd2svcd just to rip and tried the gknot smartripper. And i always make the vob files 1024mb in size.. I just reformated my system drive the other day and don't what is up with dvd2avi. please help..
thanks
JJ

save yourself the headache and just use smartripper for creating the ac3 file...gives u what u need. Use dvd2avi for video and select no track for audio...will be faster too.

How do i use smartripper on the dvd?
And what about the audio delay?

make sure you are using the latest version of smartripper(2.41).
choose the movie you want...it will load, then select enable stream processing. ck the box that says none(now all will be unckd). OK, select the audio track you want and then select Demeux to extra file and hit save selection. Hit start and wait for your ac3 file and it should also show if there is a delay or not when its done.
