How long to Create a SVCD?

I have the system spec below

2x Maxtor ATA133 H Disks
1GB Crucial DDR 2100
Gainward Geforce4 TI4400 Ultra (Golden Sample)
SBLive 5.1
Pioneer DVD 106S (MultiRegion)
Liteon 12x Re-Writer
Windows 2K SP2

Whats the average time for a full rip and encode to SVCD, my average time is 15-16 hours is this a bit too long?...what can i do too shorten the time if it is

Depends on how you are creating the svcd. Using cce with multiple passes? Using tmpge? How are you doing it? That time seems pretty normal for a technique that uses multiple passes (4 or so).
