Does anyone know of any tutorials that describe how to use bbmpeg for encoding mpeg2 streams? I would like to use tmpg but I waited too long to updated and can't use it to encode mpeg2. When my money gets better I may buy tmpg (in like a year :( ) but I would like to make mpeg2 files now....any suggestions?

Donīt use bbMPEG for encoding (use it only for muxing). It is awfully slow (much slower than Tmpeg) and of bad quality.

Download the latest Tmpeg 2.57 (not Plus) and you have a new trial period.

Otherwise delete the appropriate registry entry (which Iīm not going to post as it is against the forum rules) or use Tsunamis tmpeg loader which always deletes the registry entries before loading tmpeg.

Or buy the pro version for only $ 48. I think everyone can afford that (especially if he needs mpeg2 desperately as you seem ;) ).

Or use Tmpeg 0.12a (or 0.12) which has no mpeg2 limitation.

The possibilities are almost uncountable :)

See, no money, so I am not going to buy it right now. I can't just download a new version (since that doesn't work) and using an old pre mpeg2 trial doesn't work on my machine. I can't seem to find the registry settings either. Unless I missed something in the registry, then I can't use tmpg for mpeg2. Heh, I am not that despite since I will just use mpeg1.

I am going to try out that tmpg registry eraser thingy. I didn't noticed it before while reading your post. If it doesn't work, oh well since I probably should buy it :)

download KazaA lite http://doa2.host.sk/ and install and type "tmpeg" into search.

Why not using Google or the forum search function (or a little searching in other forums which directly post the registry entry).

Is it really that hard.

I donīt need Kazaa for that ...

Why not use CCE for mpeg2 encoding, it is much faster than Tmpeg!!

Does it involve money? I need an inbetween solution until I gradurate and start making real money and from what I believe Tmpg and CCE involve money, so....

I found a solution to my problem, thanks for the replies.
