Color correction

I was wondering if there is a way to do some gamma color correction as I am encoding with CCE. Basically, I have a DVD that has a redish tint and I'd like to remove it. For those curious, and are anime fans, it's the r2 disc of Spirited Away. If you take a look at this picture, you will see the redish tint I am referring to:

would that have something to do with the IRE setting?? I have some dv footage that looks good on the external sony monitor but saturated when encoded with cce2.5.
sometimes the color differences are quite dramatic and others it is fine.
