Hello everyone,

For the past few weeks I have been trying to burn dvd movies using DVD-R/Ws on my new Pioneer DVR-104. It sounds crazy but neither softwares woudlnt let me start burning at all. I have followed every simple step using Derrow's site of ripping and configuring the files to burn onto a disc. Ripped, Ifoedit, set 2 files from the title files(VIDEO_TS & AUDIO_TS (empty) )and burn, results: nothing. I get always end up getting an error saying "Data Job 1 Untitled Terminated with errors". Im using a WinsME 866mhz PIII with 512MB Ram PC. I thought I was using the wrong kind of blank DVDs but I used several brands and they all do the same thing! Then I used primo CD Plus. It actually burned! but did not work when I played it on my new SONY (DVD-R/RW compatible) DVD player. This is driving me crazy now ever since. Please tell me what Im doing wrong here. Thanks everyone!

your getting this error because the burning app is checking your DVD files and seeing there is a problem with your files and letting you know if you burn that DVD it won't play in a standalone. Your doing something wrong when your building the DVD and the burning app is letting you know something is wrong with your DVD files, its trying to save you from ruining a disk. (like you said, your burned DVD won't play in a standalone, your burning software knows this ahead of time)

I wanna thank you for your advice. Though, in Derrow's site says nothing about this error anywhere on his site. It seems like any child would do this easy job. It all make it look so simple yet, very confusing and difficult to burn a movie. I wish this was simple as buring any music CDs.

when I first started I got this error too, but like I say it was because I was screwing up a step in Ifoedit. Also keep in mind that if you can play a built DVD in say PowerDVD, it doesn't mean that it will play in your standalone, its just that PowerDVD along with your computer is better at figuring out how to play a DVD (even a messed up one) than your standalone. So trust me, somewhere you have something wrong in the creating process, but don't give up, I was about to give up but I kept with it and now I have about 50 DVD's copied

Thats a lot! I hope youre not spending too much for those blank dvds! Im paying $1.20 for each here and $1.80 for each DVD-RW. Trust me, they worked fine in my PC and using VCD format on my SONY DVD player.
Anyways, I will keep on trying until I get it right! Thanks again.

Check log of recordNow Max : View ==> Show log

You will find a bit more info on the error you get.

But, RecordNOW sometime is boring with files. It happend he refused me files produced from Scenarist...

Try also Nero and Instant DVD.
