I have about 60 minutes of a 720x480 video, interlaced, ntsc 29.97. I was going to reencode 42 minutes of it for SVCD. I set it up to frame serve via Avisynth, applying only some trim statements and a resize filter for 480x480. The .avs plays great.
The encoding appeared to go well, but when I played back the result it only appeared to be 18+ minutes instead of 42. After playing around with it further I realized that if I loaded it into dvd2avi to get some statistics it has a frame rate in the mid 50's.
I am sort of wondering now what the problem is and how to fix it.
