Hi mazoul45, I want to help you, but I am not sure that I understand your question.

If the video is a 60second-long loop, but you want to exit this after 20seconds, then why don't you shorten the loop to 20seconds, and author the DVD so that the "end action" for this menu aims to the next item you want?

I'm sure I must be missing something here, but I can't be sure from your question...

I repeat the question more easily :

the menu loop is at 60s so,---> 0s to 60s is the menu with button choice.but you understand that the menu is a video, yes,& when i choose
a button,i go after 60s (in the menu yet,not video in dvdmaestro).
After these 60s,the second party of video begin.
My problem is how go to this after 60s in the main menu ??
thanks for my approximatly english (french)

OK, I THINK what you are asking is how to make the end-action of the menu act just as if you had manually selected the button. If this is the case, then the answer is quite simple- you need to use the "Connections" window:

To find the "connections window", just look at the tree hierarchy on the top left hand side of the Maestro screen. Highlight the highest point on the hierarchy, and then open the connections window by going to the first tab in your "workbook"(just above the REALVIEW screen).

You will notice, if you right-click on the actual label that says "all sources", that the Connections Window offers you three different levels of complexity, so you may wish begin by using it at it's simplest setting, until you get the hang of the authoring process.

Now look to the upper-right of the connections window (this has a heading/label which says "target") and find the place where your first menu is listed. Look near to this to find where it says "end action" - so for example, it might be labelled, within the connections window, as "Menu 1 End Action", or "Menu 1 TimeOut". Right click in the blank area next to this item and select the name of the asset you wish the DVD player to play when the menu has finished it's sixty seconds duration.

You will need to open your menu in the menu editor of Maestro, and select the "playback control" tab. Then you can either tell Maestro to make the video asset of your menu "still" when it has finished playing, or you can tell it to "timeout" after 60 seconds. Either way, Maestro should then make your disk begin the "end action" task, which you have (above /\ ) specified to be a jump to the next video asset.

This is a difficult topic to describe in words. I hope what I have said helps you, and that it makes sense to you. If it does not, or if I have still failed to understand what you wish to achieve, please don't hesitate to repost and I will try again to help you.

that i want to do is :

in the main menu (dynamic) with a video which has an intro (0s to 15s) + a loop with button choice (15s to 60s) + go out menu (60s to 75s).
i want to go back after 60s to 15s (loop until no action button),&
when i choose a button i go to 60s (go out menu).

i don't want to cut the video menu in 3 party ,is that possible ?
i think a gprm (couter mode) but how ??

ok, why can't you author:

1) 1st play = 15seconds

2) menu = 45 seconds

3) movie ("outro") = 15 seconds

1st play (almost)seamlessly gives the illusion of not being seperate from the menu stream- it just looks the same except the buttons magically appear when the DVD player invisibly jumps from the 1st play stream to the menu stream. The "outro" also appears to be seamless, so the viewer is unaware that it is in fact a different stream. You can then author your navigation (such as "end actions" etc) to suit your requirements.

You can simply use a 75second piece of footage as your source material, and then use the encoder itself to select each of the three source ranges to encode from the footage. both Cinemacraft and TMPGEnc allow you to select source range for encoding. In this way you could encode 0-15 seconds (0-375 frames), 15-60 seconds (376-1500 frames), and 60-75 seconds (1501-1875 frames).

Any good, or do you still wanna me more complicated? ;) :D
