divx to svcd and also a question about 5.1

i have a question is dvd2svcd good for converting a divx rip to svcd and will it be good quaility. also if so is there any special settings that i need to use. also would it be possible to make the audio output 5.1. also does anyone know of a way to convert a avi or svcd with 2 chan audio in 5.1 if there even is a way. thanks alot.

I Dont know what version you use but the newest 1 has an option to convert a Divx Ripp[AVI]to a svcd. The only change i made was that i only use 2Passes for encoding. The quality is only as good as the Divx file . As for sound your audio questions------ I have no clue. Oh an also if the Divx is a full movie on 1 cd, I make my svcd's 2 cds,If the Divx is a 2cd ripp then 1cd per part. Enjoy
