I converted most all of my DVD's on GK on my laptop.

About 4 months ago I noticed it was not working right. WHen you go to size it, the % is not showing up. ALso, even though it goes through 2 passes, it comes up with a 200 mb file that is no good???

I have no idea what happened. I have tried removing it and reinstalling. I just used my Norton Systemsworks....scanned every part of the computer and deleted everything I could find on GK and then reinstlled everything.

Still it does not work.

Any ideas? The rest of the laptop is fine so I don't want to wipe it and reinstall. Plus I can use my desktop at this point to convert but I would still like the capability on the laptop.

Did you try to delete all the registry keys?
To do this in Gknot, go to the Options tab and push the button that says "Delete Registry Keys". This might work for you, it worked for me when I started getting wierd errors too.

I was going to try it next. However, I was going to post to see if the registry has Gordian knot spelled out or just GK. to make sure I don't delete the wrong thing...

There is no way to delete the wrong thing IF you dont even open the registry. To properly delete all GKnot Registry keys, open GKnot, click on the options tab and then click on DELETE REGISTRY KEYS

Then you just delete the GKnot folder and reinstall.
