Hi,

I noticed this filter included in a subfolder with DVD2SVCD
and was wondering if it was possible to use in an avisynth
script. I have tried loading IVTC.dll as a plugin but it
does not recognise the "CopyDuplicates" command.

What I'm trying to do:

Create v.low bitrate CVD (mpeg-2, 352x576)
in CCE 2.5x (frameserved by avisynth) and I'd like to duplicate some frames to increase visual quality while maintaining fluid movement.

NB: CopySame does not allow for fluid movement in non anim.

Thanks in advance & thanks for such an informative forum!

okay, it's designed and tested on anims BUT it's based on MOTION so if you tune/tweak/play with the results , you _should_ make whatever you want. And i can try to improve it for movies too if you want :)

I don't really see why CopySame could not allow for fluid movement in movies ??

If you are not very used with the settings, i can give you a (little) tip to begin to tweak CopySame : use 2 max frames dropping, and a high relq value (>1 would disable relq effect) so CopySame would only affect very still scenes, using low rel values (try around 10.0-0.5)

and use the _last_ copysame version (beta8 today :) )
because it's under heavy development

EDIT : After all, CopySame is only 15 days old now :D

Marc FD,

of course you are correct in that I did not tweak the settings.
I will test your suggested values. Thanks for your input. :)

Still after an answer, if possible, re: my original question.

anyone ?
