I think this is a Mustek issue and not a dvd2svcd issue.

Well, yes. Winsubmux generates colored subtitles the players cannot interpret correctly. Possibly a color depth problem 2bpp/4bpp/8bpp?

I know there are a ton of subtitle issues floating around, lol, so we really don't need one more.. ;P

Still, if someone has managed to solve this problem, and can present dark colored outlines with Winsubmux/Mustek combo, please tell the rest of us.

Since dvd2svcd is the tool of choice for most of us, I wanted to report it here to inform others.

I will continue to experiment myself..
