I've just got a Pioneer 104 DVD writer and have been playing around with the demo of Ulead's DVD Workshop.
The problem I have is getting DVD Workshop to accept VBR Mpeg2 files encoded (from DV AVIs) with CCE. If I create a constant bit rate program stream with CCE, DVD Workshop accepts it fine and will create a disk image without trying to re-encode the video. The problem arises with VBR video created with CCE. If I create separate audio and video streams, and then mux with TMPG, when I try to create a disk image with DVD Workshop it always wants to re-encode the files. TMPG can create a VBR program stream but CCE seems to only allow the creation of a program stream with constant bit rate.
Can anyone suggest how I can create VBR Mpeg2 files with CCE and then author a DVD layout using DVD Workshop without DVD Workshop trying to re-encode my files?
thanks,
Justin
