Dvd Splitting

Hi, Im trying to burn "the green mile" dvd to dvdr but the movie is 3 hours long. Ive tried to do it using the splitting guide and ifoedit but when I click the button to "split it", ifoedit crashes and my pc offers to send an error report to microsoft which i decline. Does anybody else have this problem. My operating system is win xp pro.
OR, could anyone suggest another program which would split the dvd into 2 parts.
