Need some help! This is my script:
LoadPlugin("C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\avs gen\bin\MPEG2DEC.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\avs gen\bin\AVISynth_Spatial.dll")
mpeg2source("C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\beneath loch ness\beneath.m2v")

I tried loading the avs file into Link2 v095(the newest) but doesnt showup correct...It says its only 10sec long,24fps, and is 340 by 56.

All i want is a No Filter script(JUST THE VIDEO) to use link2 to wrap then process with CCE.

Any ideas... I wish there was a easy script generator out there!!

mpeg2source("C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\beneath loch ness\beneath.m2v")

mpeg2source is designed to have .d2v (DVD2AVI Project files) as source and nothing else.
Go and create a .d2v with DVD2AVI and change your script to:

mpeg2source("C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\beneath loch ness\beneath.d2v")

wrong mpeg2source also works with .vobs ive done it before i decypt the entire movie to 1 vob ( like 7 gigs) then framserve the vob itstead of the .d2v

though i dont know what is wrong with your script it looks good

if your trying to load in tmpg try disabling direct show compatatbility in settings

Thanks for the help guys....creating the d2v file worked. Be nice if link2 would import the d2v direct, eliminating the avs file since all the adjustments will be done with cce.

ps...a gui would be great for those of us not used to writing avs files.

:D

Sorry, wrong !!! total BS !!!

mpeg2source does ONLY accept DVD2AVI projects !!!

please show me your "mpeg2dec" that actually opens .vob, mine does NOT !

With the original mpeg2dec.dll code it would be impossible to load a vob directly. the code would need to be altered severly to work with vobs (I know ive done it before ;) ). I.e. it needs to know where GOPs are & how many frames there are exactly etc etc

Id be surprised & interested if there was a version that could load vobs....

Is it possible to write an avs to accept a m2v file? I was thinking of taking a m2v file i get from smartripper then use link2 to wrap it to keep one more peace(the d2v) out of the loop.

That too would be on my wish list, is that link2 would accept the m2v from smartripper directly.;) No avs and no d2v. How simple life would be :D

TactX,
NO, i am in the other part of the world...Disney that is

Does anyone have experience with both the mpeg2dec.dll and mpeg2dec2.dll. Is there a big advantage to the 2nd one?

There is a plugin who can read vob-files (dunno whether it also can read m2v files?). Have a look at the thread:
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=20229&highlight=lzh and look for the fourth message "MPEG-2 VIDEO VFAPI Plug-In".
