Audio out of Synch

I have converted a DVD using DVD2SVCD without making images, then I split the file into two using TMPGEnc, added chapters using VCDEasy. Burned using CDRDAO. The SVCD plays fine on computer, there is no audio sync problems however it is out of synch when I play it on standalone DVD player. It is lagging behind video probably a second.

What is the problem and how do I fix it?

If you can play the movie on the PC you can play it on your standalone
DVD player.
Try this:
Play the movie a few seconds. Then make a backward replay and put the movie on again forward.
The sound must go just in the mode!

This does not seem a logical answer. What is the actual problem? I will give it try but how do I fix it without having to do your trick?

are you using the movie offset > 0 like it recommends to solve some desync issues with some dvd players?

your logfile would probably help so people don't have to ask a bunch more questions like this.

Do you get async on both cd1 and cd2?

OK, I am having exactly the opposite problem.

Created SVCD with DVD2SVCD using CCE 2.5. Movie offset left to 2 (default).

On my DVD player, the movie played and looked great. On my computer the audio was about 1 second faster than the video throughout the movie.

I ripped using the internal routines, as suggested by the DVD2SVCD author.
