Hiya

I have a problem when trying to make vcds out of dvds.
Problem: After ripping the dvd I'm supposed to use dvd2avi to make a file that combines all of the vob files. When doing this according to the instructions this is what happens.

I get all the correct files, but the "movie" file is only very, very small. and when I try to load it with TMPGenc it won't load(altho I do have the proper plugin thingy).

- It takes only around 4 minutes to do the dvd2avi conversion, odd

DVD2AVI save project gives you a large audio file (if you have chosen to process audio here) and a very small .d2v file - this is not a video file itself - it can be used to frameserve into TMPGEnc or CCE (using Avisynth or similar). Yes, it does not take much time. Go to http://www.doom9.org/mpg/tmpg-main.htm if you use TMPG and read it carefully. If you use CCE, go to http://www.doom9.org/mpg/cce.htm

You are going to get totally flamed if you ask questions that are very obviously answered in the guides, a little less if the questions have been discussed in some detail elsewhere in this forum. Use the Search key to find posts that are of interest to you.

And relax, it will take some time initially reading through all the guides and understanding all the permutations and combinations, but once you have understood it, you will be doing it in your sleep:)
