My HDD failed and I have just rebuilt my machine with a new HDD.
I have installed the latest GK and WMP6.4.
I am having major problems playing my GK (Divx 3) created files.

Media player reports missing codec.

Which codec is missing? Doesn't GK install the Divx codecs?
Need help asap.

Load you avi into nandub and select file - properties. Look at the sound properties. You may need to install an ac3 codec. Do you get a pic at all in wmp? No sound?

It should. Did you install 0.21 and then update to 0.26? If not do so.
If you did, start VirtualDub and go to Video/Compression there you will see all the Codecs you've got. If you don't see The DivX ;) try downloading The Divx 3.11 Alpha from www.doom9.org.

Re-installing GK and divx seems to have solved the problem.
