I've just read the new guide about using CCE and Scenarist and this is the same principle I've always used with Maestro, except I've worked with the individual vob-ids, and then recreated the PGCs. The main reason for this is that I wanted exact copies of the structure and many titles that contain episodes rather than movies have two vob-ids making up each PGC, with the second one usually very small. However, I don't know the ins and outs of Maestro and have always ended up creating the vob-ids as individual movies and the used vobedit to join them as clips to end up with one set of files i.e. VTS_01_**, which have the correct PGCs and Vob-ids. However, looking at the way that Scenarist is doing it I wonder if there was a way in Maestro to create all of the PGCs as one set of files?

Playlists will create PGC's. This is fine for original compilations but I've never found a way to accurately duplicate PGC's as they were originally by using Maestro. Try ReelDVD. It's a lot easier to do and the software is more user-friendly than Scenarist.
