I had to -- once again, this normal stuff you do every 6mos or so -- reinstall clean Windoze 2k and installed all the other stuff as well what I normally use. Installed DVD2SVCD and TMPGEnc's latest version (2.56) and started a conversion process, went to sleep, woke up and noticed nice little "feature" :-)
As I didn't run TMPGEnc even once before I went to DVD2SVCD, the first thing I saw on my screen when I woke up, was TMPGEnc's splash screen, waiting for me to click OK button :-) And even after that it prompted that typical annoying message about MPEG-2 limitations and asked to click OK once again.
So, just minor suggestion, if possible -- make DVD2SVCD check that once it launches TMPGEnc, it doesn't prompt any popups that pause the program until they've been closed. I missed 10hrs of good encoding time because of that (as the encoding doesn't start before you've closed the splash screen and/or MPEG-2 warning).
Sure, next time it wont happen as most of us check the box "don't show this again", but minor tweak anyway to be considered in future versions.
