Hi,

atm I´m ill at home, only having my old PC available, and something´s messed up.
I can´t convert audio any more. Both BeSweet and HeadAC3he simply do nothing!

- HeadAC3he just closes itself when it starts converting. No error message.
- BeSweet starts the command window, and this one also disappears immediately.
- All destination codecs affected: Vorbis, MP3, MP2
- Not even logs are generated

All the needed DLLs are in the respective folders, so there must be something missing or be screwed up in Windows (XP) system.
After a quick look I found C-libraries, C++-libraries, and v6 VisualBasic-libraries in \system32, - and here my wisdom ends.

Has anyone a particular idea what could be the point here? Or give a list of definetly needed DLLs?
This is really annoying ...

Any help or tip is welcome! (except for FORMAT C: )

Thanks a lot

[edit] I still can transcode WAV to WAV - oh yeah!

do it in other applications:

AC3 -> WAV using AZID
WAV -> MP3 using Lame/RazorLame
WAV -> MP2 using TMPG

I thought of *solving* the problem ...

Imagine the whole board with hundreds of CDs to be converted by command-line :(

I bet it´s a particular DLL (or even OCX? dunno).

Oh, btw: XP´s event viewer logged - guess what - nothing!

This argument doesn't work, HeadAC3he don't have a batch mode, so don't try to make a fool out of me :sly:

There is nothing simpler than Azid:

azid -a -c normal filename.ac3 filename.wav

The only condition is: azid.exe and the ac3 file must be in the same directory.
If you want batch mode, make a text file, type all commands that have to be executed using copy and paste of the first command and then modifying what have to be modified, and save as a bat file. double click this bat file and it will convert all files.

Then you can use RazorLame to convert to MP3 or TMPG to convert to MP2, and both of them have batch mode and both of them are user friendly.

Got Milk?

DJ Bobo, surely it would be better to try to fix the problem before using a long winded work around?

Didée, I assume you are using BeSweet GUI? Try copying the command line to the clipboard, opening the command prompt and pasting the command in there. Hopefully you will see the error that is preventing the conversion process. If the command line is too long to paste straight into the command prompt, create a batch file with with the command line and run that from the command prompt instead.

@ DJ Bobo: ... please excuse my being, I did not want to disturb you :D

Just to be on the safe side, I re-installed latest BeSweet+GUI, HeadAC3he 0.23a, and OggDS - once again, though everything should already have been in place.

HeadAC3he still vanishes on MPx and OGG Vorbis.

BeSweet ... IS CONVERTING, yippie-ay-ey!

There still must be a hook, but - okay, its working somehow.

Thanks.
Creeping to bed again now.
