View Full Version : Smooth Playback freeze-up bug

Has anybody else ever noticed this kind of thing? MPlayer freezes up in this part of my American Psycho rip if I turn on the Smooth Playback setting. Go to View/Options in MPlayer and set "Repeat forever" to see what I'm talking about. The picture freezes, but the soundtrack keeps going. MPlayer doesn't crash, and you can even seek all around, but the picture stays frozen until you restart MPlayer.

This isn't a very big deal to me -- I've just started leaving Smooth Playback turned off on all my machines. I just wanted to know if it was a recognized bug in DivX 5.0.2.

I can confirm that. I've seen a few movies where that happened with smooth playback on. Disabling it fixed the problem in all cases.

I can confirm that as well. damn slow playback.
