Hi,

Does anyone know how to encode stills for (S)VCD's using MJPEGTools and JPEG2YUV. What little information I could collect is rather Linux-specific, and I can't get it to work. It obviously can work under WinXP, as demonstrated by the menu creation functionality of TSCV.

From what I can gather, one needs to convert a JPEG to a YUV stream using JPEG2YUV, then convert the YUV stream to a video stream using MPEG2ENC, then multiplex a (for PAL) 704x576 and 352x288 video stream into a system stream with MPLEX.

I cannot link this all together. And do I need to use SH? Anyone tried this before?

TIA

I use VCDEasy to generate MPG stills and it works perfectly.

You can download it from doom9's download section (SVCD authoring).
