Does DVD2AVI compensate for AC3 stream delays when demuxing from VOBs? That is, is the delay added within the stream by DVD2AVI (as stated in the filename) or do I need to adjust the AC3 or M2V file accordingly?

If I need to adjust, which is the better method...

- adjust within TMPGenc when I transcode the video stream
- use something like Ac3Delay instead to manipulate the audio stream depending on the delay.

Lip synching on a couple of DVD-Rs I have done (where I have had to demux and remux) seem to be out of synch by just a fraction (under a sec). Should the above methods correct this?

Also, does Ac3Delay add the appropriate silent delay to the start or end of the stream depending on whether there is a +ive or -ive delay?

Please ne1 help?
Cheers.

I had the same question, but a little further on the topic, does a delay stretch the audio at all? or just change the starting point? In other words, exactly what does the delay mean?
