DirectShowSource("d:\filename.wmv", fps=15) should do it.

th for the reply it works great. one quesiton tho, you sugest fps 15, is 15 a default used in many wmv files?

And now for the biggie. i was reading hte avisynth doc and it says directshow does not suport audio.

Is there anyway to get the audio out of it without playing hte video and recording it and trying to sync it up later ?

15 was just an example, if you right click on the file in Explorer and go to properties, you should be able to find the proper value.

I don't have any experience extracting audio from WMVs, you might try searching on Google to see if there's a program available which could do that.
