Maestro 16:9 LB/PS

Hi, what are the differences in Maestros 16:9 LB/PS and 16:9 pan-scan. The only one I've ever used is 16:9 letterbox, when do you use the other ones? and what would it do if I select them when my project is 16:9 letterbox, would it make the video bigger or smaller or what?

16:9 letterbox is for animorphic footage, 16:9 LB/PS is the same, but includes pan/scan information.
