Audio behind Video ?

Quick question ,I have a pioneer dvd player that I play my svcds on I have no problem ,but I also have an apex and when I play them on the apex the audio is behind the video.I Trade movies with people and I dont want them thanking i gave them a bad copy.Any suggestions?
