The DVD I want to backup is 7,528,298,496 bytes (7.01 GB) before any processing is done on it (Ocean's 11). I've tried following Doom9's guide using Ifoedit but it didn't want to work. This dvd has no multi-language menus so I skipped Step 3. I completed Step 4 fine. In Step 5, I transcoded the video with Rempeg (using scale down of 84%) and got a .m2v file. I completed Step 6 fine but when I went to open my new .ifo file for my main movie vobs, I got all kinds of errors and the new set of vobs it made was only 1 vob. Seeing all I did was strip out all of the subtitles and all of the languages (except for English 6 ch), I highly doubt the movie went from 7 vobs originally to 1 vob now. BTW, the new "1" vob it created showed 0 bytes when viewed and the .ifo, when opened in Ifoedit, showed nothing. Any help? Thanks.

I tried it again and got this error after stripping out all the subtitles and other languages (except English 6 ch):

There's something wrong!
The file position does not match the offset for table:ID_VMG_PTT_SRPT
Any idea why or how to fix it?

As is already apparent, something went wrong during your project. First, let me say there is no one "best way" or necessarily "easy" method of doing things. Every project has it's own challenges. Perhaps you would be better off using my guide (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=27408) which is posted at the top of this forum. If not, or you would like to ask other questions concerning IFOedit, please post them in the appropriate IFOedit forum. Thanks!

@Trilight

I will try your guide next and as of now, I've read it over a few times. Is it safe for me to say that if, for example, I don't want subtitles, I can skip that section in your guide? Or if I don't want to include anything but the menus and the main movie, that I should disregard including them? Thanks.

You can leave out whatever you like. So long as you pay attention to the important parts. :)
