i don't know, i just can't get my head around the title/pgc + vobid/cell structure in scenarist...

has anyone had any luck with this?

any help would be appreciated :)

I did Spy Game last night. The film is very large on VTS_05 if I remember correctly. With one like this I did my split into 2 x DVD-R's
Use Ifoedit to split creating new Ifo files (into i.e.folders Disc1 & Disc2).
On split files re-name them back to VTS-05 ( as split re-names them VTS_01).
Copy over the VTS_VIDEO vobset with the vobsets that play until the film starts - I think VTS_01 (needed anyway for DVD compliance) & VTS_02 & VTS_03.
Film & menu all O.K.
I did'nt copy any of the extras as the whole disc was around 7GB and I can't be bothered with all that.

I find that the 2 disc option is better than hours/days transcoding.

Haven't done that one yet but will let ya know when I do. :) I re-encode and re-integrate into the original menu with everything.

have you read the updated ifoedit/cce guide? could be helpful as it deals with a pretty complex project

yes, you're guide is really really well done, and i've used it to cce + recreate 3 or 4 dvd's so far. i think i'm just intimidated by the numerous pgc/ids/cells...etc. i should probably just try it again. i haven't read the guide in a while because i'd been getting the hang of it :), so i'll go through it again.

VOB and Cell IDs are no longer a problem.. scenchap takes care of the regular chapters, ifoupdate of the other cells and vob ID things... all you have to worry about is re-create PGCs and Titles.. the main screen in ifoedit will tell you how PGCs correspond to titles.. and from there on now it's just following my scenarist guide.
