Ok I have a question about my burned DVD.

1. I burned a dvd w/ Maestro w/ menus. When testing audio and video is out of sync. Audio is like 4 sec. ahead. But the original SVCD that I got the m2v and ac3 from in NOT out of sync. Why ???

2. Have anyone tried burning different vob for different dvd together to make 1 dvd ? Well I ran into a problem when importing my .m2v into Maestro. Ok here's how i do it. I have 3 different vob from different dvd. I use vob edit to join the vob and use ifo edit to create a new ifo. After when all done extract .m2v and ac3 from the vob that i just joined. And then import assets into Maestro. I gave me an error saying "Media Detection Error". I search around and all the threads says that the file is corrupted or something. But with the same vob and run through DVD2SVCD and using DVD2SVCD ac3 file to import assets. It works fine. And with the .m2v that I extracted just from the vob that I joined. When import assets into Maestro an error saying "Temporal References in GOP #1447....." I can find a thread helping me on this issue about DVD. The other threads are just on SVCD.

Please help....!!!!

Read this thread and get back to me. Incidentally, I am assuming, from your description, that you are already dealing with elementary streams:

Also, if you are using a build of Maestro which is prior to 2912, and you are using Win2k, rather than WinNT, then make sure you use ApCompat to emulate WinNT. Believe it or not, this does have a bearing on Maestro error messages, at times!:

Arky: Hey thanks for the reply but I found out how to work around all of those errors that Maestro pops up. The ""Media Detection Error". "Temporal References in GOP #1447....." So I guess I am good for now.. I am sure I have more problems as I go along. And I am sure I'll be posting threads...;) For your links of the threads I am make sure I'll read it just for my knowledge. But I have a really quick question though. Ok for audio. Which one is good to use to burn DVD. ac3 or wav ? Which one has the better quality when just extracting ac3 or wav from vob ? And is there a program that converts wav to ac3 ??
