hi
i have the "LETTERS FROM A PORCUPINE" DVD, which contains approx 8 music videos, and a documentary.
when i try to create a SVCD i cannot include all the VOB files in the conversion. There are 2 VTS.IFO files:
VTS_01_0.IFO and VTS_02_0.IFO
I can only select the 1 set of VOB's at a time.
i.e if i select the VOB's under VTS_02_0.IFO , i cannot also add the VOB's under VTS_01_0.IFO to include in the conversion.
i have tried using internal routines, Vstripe and smart ripper. all produce the same result.
thanks in advance for any help

That's because you can only do 1 IFO at a time, simply because 99% of all DVDs only have 1 on them.

is there anyway to join the two together so i can convert the whole dvd to one SVCD project?

Hmm.. you speak of that which I have never heard ;) And likewise, I don't know if it can be done, but I've never seen someone attempt such a thing so my first guess would be, no, its not possible.

surely there must be someway to make a single DVD containing multiple IFO's fit into 1 SVCD conversion?
could one of the mod's please help out on this one when you have the chance.
thanks in advance.

You'll have to do 2 separate conversion processes, and set each conversion to use half the total cd space you have, like 400 for instance. Then you'll have to do a manual burn with vcdeasy or nero (or similar) using the final output video made by bbmpeg in both conversions. That's the only way that you can put them both on one cd.

@hoonstein:
Firstly, your CAPSLOCK key seems to be broken, try to fix this - there's no need for shouting - only baby's do - real men don't. ;)
Secondly, ever tried to do it the way described in Q41 of the Q&A?
Ok, the chapters will be missing for the second set of the VOBs but you can add them with VCDEasy afterwards or use fixed chapters instead.
Try this,

I take it he is one to believe in omnipotent programs, those which can do anything and everything that one's mind may desire.. without even telling it to!
And I guess little old me doesn't know anything, but no doubt a mod would be able to answer any question.. since they too are omnipotent!
Thank you, drive thru.

sorry if i pissed a few of you people off with caps lock........... didn't realise that it was shouting or whatever.( lucky i said it on the pc...hate to see your reaction face to face)
the reason it was on caps lock is a simple one, i was playing Diablo2 at the time, and it is easier to distinguish between ZEROS and O's when making game's etc. i didn't realise i had left on till after i posted.
i'm one of these low lifes who looks at the keyboard when they type.
hope no feathers where ruffled beyond repair
