Pioneer DVR-104 Firmware question

Hi All

I have a quick question to owners of the DVR-104 drive
about the firmware of the drive

Since the DVR-104 is suppose to be identical to the retail
DVR-A04 do you use the same firmware to update the drive?

At the USA/Canadian Pioneer homepages when searching for
a firmware update if says to contact the system manufactuer
of your drive and no firmware updates are avaliable

But if you go to the Australia Pioneer page it lists the firmware update For both the DVR-104/DVR-A04 (v1.20) as the same but has a warning note "It is not for OEM models such as Apple or Packard Bell, etc"

So what to do....has anyone just used the A04 firmware or....
I'd not rather "mutilate" my new drive right away...might make me cranky for awhile :D
