Netflix doesn't suck on the East coast anymore?

Well,

Netflix opened new distribution centers. Any East coasters (specifically DC area) that have noticed shorter shipping times?

How is Netflix these days? There seems to have been some discontent but perhaps it's better now.

I'm in the north east, and have had my shipments go thru the Boston area center since mid-Febuary.

The Good:
All my DVDs are returned to a center just a few hundred miles away. Even though it takes 2 days to get there, that is one day less than going to the west coast.

The Bad:
9 out of 10 DVDs are still mailed from the west coast (or at least they still take 3 days to reach me). This means half of the benefit of the east coast center is lost.

The Ugly:
Unlike the west coast center, the Boston center appears to be closed on Saturday.

This basicly traps me in a rut: I send 3 movies back on Saturday. They recieve and mail the next 3 movies on Monday. I get them on Thursday and keep them for 2 days because they won't get them back until Monday even if I drop it right back in the mailbox.

The end result is that I'm still getting around the same number of DVDs I did before they opened the distro center. I'm sure those people closer to a distro center get better service. Some people in the Boston area reported 2 day turn-around just like the San Francisco area.

As far as selection availability is concerned, I have 125 titles on my queue, as of last night 48 were on a wait of some kind. Most of the titles are not new releases, in fact, only one movie was released within the last 6 months. This appears to have gotten worse in the last few months, as it use to stay between 20-25 titles on wait.

The final verdict for me is that I'm still as discontent now as I was six months ago. I think the service is still worth the money, but I don't feel I'm getting as much out of it as I should be.

I'm in Illinois and they are coming out of Michigan for me. 2 days usually now for sending and returning. I easily picked up 6 more rentals a month because of it.

however, like the previous poster it seems that there are too many titles that are on the LONG WAIT list.
