i hope somebody can assist me with a little problem i have been having with SVCDs and my Standalone DVD player.
DVD player: JVC XV-S300
SVCD encoder: DVD2SVCD
Burner: Samsung CDRW/DVD SM-308B (using CDRwin)
my problem is that pretty close to every (s)vcd that i make has a problem where the video tends to hesitate frequently and randomly (as in not always on the same spots on the movie). the video just suddenly stops for a few seconds, and then jumps ahead the length of time that it stopped. however the audio never skips a beat.
this also occurs in (s)vcds that i download, so that leads me to beleive that it isn't my encoding methods. all the movies also play fine in my dvd-rom.
so is this a know problem, or is there something that i am missing that anybody can think of?
any helpful input would be greatly appreciated.
