Okay, I have inverse telecined my video and I have a beautiful .m2v file that runs at 23.976 (obviously it plays fast on media player). How do I get this file into a DVD authoring program without converting it to 29.97? I thought that 23.976 video with the correct RFF-TFF flags was used by DVD authoring software. However, I also see that 29.97 is the MPEG-2 compliant spec. How do those who author with 24FPS (23.976 with 3:2 pulldown flags) get their video to be compliant? I'm confused.

I think the standard for playing back any DVD on a TV is 25fps for PAL and 29.97fps for NTSC.

You have to pulldown your 24fps video to 29.97fps to get it compatible with Authoring Software.

You can use Pulldown.exe

pulldown.exe source.m2v target.m2v
