I've got this movie , it's divix 3.11 from europe , 25fps pal.
WMP7 plays it but it's very jerky , looks like frame order is screwed up.
In motion scenes , moving objects jump back and forth all over the place.
Strangely WMP6.4 plays it just fine but for some reason my G450DH
doesn't display to TV (DVD max).
I run the movie through Vdub and saved it uncompressed(almost) in
huffyuv , that plays fine in both WMP (DVD max also works).
But when I tried to compress it back to divix(5.02) same thing happened.
What am I missing?
Is there ivtc equivalent for PAL that I have to perform?
Sorry if this is an obvious question , but I've never done PAL(25fps)
before.

If it plays just fine in WMP 6.4 and not in 7, it's a playback problem and not because of the video being 25fps.

Matrox cards are known to have problems with videos which horizontal resolution isn't divisible by 32. You may activate "Mod32" in DVobSub to get it compatible, if your video resolution isn't compliant.

If it's playback problem why , huffy plays well in WMP7?
Resolution is 352x288 , both divisible by 32.

You mean you took the divx file and transcoded it to huffy and then all was fine? if it is so, your WMP7 has problems with the DivX codec, it has nothing to do with the framerate.

You may update your VGA drivers or something, since I have divx files of all kind and with all usual framerates and I don't have any problems to play them in WMP7/6.4 and other popular players like BSPlayer (I have an ATi rage 128)

Use BSPlayer. It's better than WMP 6.4, not to speak of WMP 7...
