I am receiving an error message when I try to import a video which was ripped from a DVD. Message Says:

"low_delay" bit in MPEG-2 sequence extension is turned on (=1). It should be off(=0) for DVD use. (0x1070049)

I am confused that if "low_delay" bit should be off, then how come a DVD already exists with low_delay bit "on".

I have noticed that this message comes when I try to import a video with 704x480 29.97fps Interlaced.

Is there any tool available which can make my video get accepted into Maestro? Or someone could tell me how I can import that video into Maestro?

Thanks in advance.

Hmm...this one is definitely a new one on me, but you might, at the very least, and until (IF) someone else comes along with a definitive answer, try playing around with the following utility, and see if it helps at all:

I had already tried DVD Patcher but it did not help. I tried to patch the resolution from 704x480 to 720x480. I don't see any other option which can solve my problem.

What I want to find out that what is this "low_delay" bit thing. Is this some information within each video file or it has to do something with 704x480 resolution.

I tried to import the same file into Scenarist, Scenarist warned me the same "low_delay" bit is ON=(1), but it accepted the file.

I hope someone could come with a solution.

Thanks.

The "low-delay" setting is not allowed in the DVD video spec (but it is in MPEG2) although how it came off a DVD is anyone's guess. Perhaps you applied some post-processing? Or re-encoding?
