I've noticed that Nic already fix the 'Green' bug,
I just can't wait to get latest XviD.ax ;)
@Nic
Thank you.
....how about your 'soon' DVD2AVI ? ;)
Has anyone noticed the XviD DShow filter crashing their explorer? This used to happen to me often, but happens more so now. The Green bug is fixed but that has happened on two computers to me now (it happens with the standard DShow filter as well, not just my post-processing one)
I may delay its release now, as it is rather annoying (& I dont have the source with me so it will have to wait till this evening)
Ill let you know how I get on (the Green screen bug is caused by the B-Frame support, I have to talk to chem about this, as there are other bugs when playing back with B-Frame support, my fix is just a hack to stop the green frame bug)
Cheers,
-Nic
ps
@ookzdvd:

@Nic,
Thank you for the confirmation, at least I know what's going on ;)
About DVD2AVI take your time, I'm not in hurry, if you have time
just drop me a message for the link.

Nic, the filter has been crashing Explorer here non-stop. It also tends to take up 100% of my processor when opening the movie. I am lucky if I can get through a whole movie now without Explorer crashing.

This might have nothing to do with it, but for a while back in early May, the DS filter on my site did this also. The problem then was that the API was not correct (not the same in xvidcore and DShow).

Cheers uManiac, that might be the problem come to think of it. Ill look into it tonight. And get back to you :)

Just a quick thanx to uManiac, that saved me alot of time. But weirdly that wasnt the only problem, the other was caused in the MMX colour conversion code. I doubled the size of the buffer I used & that seems to have fixed things :D

Nic,
can you #define BFRAMES for decoding as well?
I'm encoding my first BFramed movie right now (with today's CVS code and some cleanups for the debug output ;) ) - if all goes well I'll release a binary tonight :)
Thanks (also for sending the *.ax ;) )
Regards,
koepi
Hmmm. Have you tried the filter with BRAMES (BFRAMES_DEC) turned on? The decoding gets _real_ slow when I last tried it...Ill try again.
Thanks (also for sending the *.ax )
I haven't sent it yet :) Two things have to happen first:
1) Ive got to find your email address (my vampirehunter.com account's died)
2) Ive got to plug my floppy (LS-120) drive in :D
& all thats not going to happen till Saturday :)
Take Care,
-Nic
