GOP Settings For CCE

What should the GOP settings be when encoding using CCE so that
my mpeg2 file is compliant when I use it to burn to a DVD-R?

By default, the M setting = 3, the N/M setting = 5. What should
these be set at for DVD compliance?

I know that for NTSC the max GOP is 15 (I think)

Hi stanleycup,

that depends on your DVD authoring software, usually they support a max GOP legth of 15 for NTSC and 12 for PAL - so you need M=3 and N/M=5 for NTSC and M=3 and N/M=4 for PAL. Also, they sometimes need the "Close all GOPs" option tobe ticked.
