View Full Version : How can I speed up a video stream

Hey everyone, I tried searching for this first but came up with zip.

I have an hours worth of footage of clouds rolling across the sky (I know, I have too much time on my hands...)

I want to be able to speed up the footage to get that cool effect of highspeed motion. EG: the type of stuff you see in documentaries.

Is there a way in Avisynth to do this? Am I asking the question in the correct forum?

Thanks,

ph2t.

That sounds pretty easy. You can only speed it up nicely by integers, but it should work well. If it's video you'll want to break it down into 60fps progressive just to get more granularity. Then do:

clip.selectevery(x,0)

Where "x" is how much you want to speed it up. 1x,2x,3x,4x,5x,etc.
